What's in Store for 2026

Events: EOF hosts an Annual Budget and Tax Briefing to provide funders and philanthropic advisors with a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss why federal and state budget and tax work matters to national, state, and local philanthropy. Additional virtual programs are scheduled to address emerging topics of interest.

Law & Social Policy Legacy Award: Launched in 2021, a $10,000 award will be given annually, through 2030 to recognize organizations defending and advocating for low-wage workers’ rights.

Congratulations to our 2026 winner, the Workers Defense Project!

The 2027 call for nominations will open in September 2026.

Funder Learning Series: EOF is hosting monthly virtual calls between May and October 2026 for funders to share ideas, workshop pressing challenges, and identify opportunities to connect and align efforts around economic opportunity. Each session will include an EOF member to kick off the conversation.

Funder Networks: EOF supports time-limited funder working groups to support information sharing and learning as well as the coordination and alignment of investments among identified areas of interest.

EOF is currently supporting the State Investments Learning Lab. Launched in late 2025, the State Investments Learning Lab is a pilot project to facilitate information exchange and strategic alignment among a small cohort of members. Activities will include a virtual discussion with field partners on needs and opportunities in the states, data collection from the cohort on current and planned state investments, and an in-person strategy meeting to identify gaps and opportunities for future collaboration and coordination. Budget permitting, EOF may expand the cohort and faciliate one or two deep dives in a particular state with local funders in 2026.
