Since 2004, EOF has hosted an Annual Budget and Tax Briefing to engage national, regional, and local philanthropy in crucial budget and tax policy discussions. It is the only annual event of its kind focused on philanthropy and budget and tax policy.

How will federal budget and tax decisions shape supports and services for workers, families, and communities? How are states responding, and what opportunities lie ahead in a shifting political landscape?

- Support state responses to HR1 and other federal actions to protect essential supports, resist harmful changes, and pursue innovation.

- Advance government renewal and reform by protecting core institutions and building a shared vision for a more equitable, resilient, and accountable public sector.
