Mapping investments in the states for greater impact.

EOF (formerly known as GIST) has developed an online mapping tool to help illustrate to funders where investments are being made in policy, advocacy and communications work in the states, and to help foster connections across these efforts. There are 39 national networks and 1,543 unique state policy and advocacy groups currently represented on the map.

The data for this map and a companion analysis was last updated in February 2019.

Funders Using Mapping To Advance Their Work

Jann Jackson, Senior Associate, The Annie E. Casey Foundation

Last year, AECF was thinking through its strategy to target support to Southern and Southwestern states.  We asked EOF to prepare maps of the policy and advocacy ecosystem in several states. These maps provided great information and conversation points for AECF staff discussions as well as work with external partners.
