EOF has developed an online mapping tool (see below) and companion analysis to help illustrate to funders where investments are being made in policy, advocacy and communications work in the states, and to help foster connections across these efforts. There are 39 national networks and 1,543 unique state policy and advocacy groups currently represented on the map.Note that this is a work in progress. Not all key national efforts are represented here, and, state partners and priorities change.
Our online mapping tool raised some interesting questions for funders, such as:
This prompted an EOF member to ask what the national network ecosystem looked like in the states where they are prioritizing investments. Using the data from our online mapping tool, EOF has created state ecosystem maps and analyses for Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Texas. For each state, we plotted the national networks and their connections to state groups and to each other to help illustrate potential areas for future partnerships and collaboration.
