The State EITC Policy Development Fund (PDF) was established in 2015 to provide multi-year support to state-based policy groups laying the groundwork to develop or improve state EITCs. These two-year, capacity-building investments are aimed at helping state and local groups conduct research, build alliances, and raise awareness of the importance of state EITCs to state efforts to reduce poverty and help working families make ends meet.
Idaho has just received a $250,000 policy development award to establish an inclusive state EITC. Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy and PODER of Idaho will work together to cultivate legislative champions, build a robust statewide Idaho EITC coalition, develop new research and analysis, and conduct media and messaging campaigns.
The State EITC Policy Development Fund is one of four funds administered by the EITC Pooled Fund.
