Cuong Hoang, Director of Programs, Mott Philanthropic
Cuong P. Hoang is the director of programs of Mott Philanthropic, a consultancy founded in 2008 that works with individuals and foundations to increase the impact of their giving. In his role, Cuong helps philanthropists design, implement, and assess their grant making, which focuses on local and national issues, including arts and culture, education, climate justice and just transition, and fiscal policy.
He is currently engaged in two national initiatives: to advance progressive revenue policies in 12 states across the country and to (re)envision the future of the arts and culture sector as essential to a vibrant democracy.
Throughout his work, Cuong brings together focuses on policy change, civic engagement, and movement building. His work with donors includes grant making, political giving, and investments and integrated capital.
