Who is Eligible to Attend?

The 2026 Budget and Tax Briefing is open to grantmakers who work for a qualifying philanthropy.

The following do not qualify:

  • Fundraising or development staff. Eligible participants must oversee or manage an organization’s giving programs.
  • Staff from institutions whose primary function is not philanthropic, including those that regrant funds.
  • Staff from grantmaking institutions that only make grants to their members or affiliates.

  • Day Ticket: $150
  • Dinner Program Only: $100

Regular: (registration closes March 13)

Attire

There is no dress code for this meeting. Please dress for your own comfort. At recent EOF meetings, this has ranged from jeans to business casual.

Health + Safety

There are no vaccination, masking, or health screening requirements to participate.

We ask that you help us reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and other respiratory and infectious diseases by refraining from participating if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms, including for a cold, flu, RSV, etc.

Weather

In late March, the average high and low temperatures for DC are: highs in the low 60’s in the day, and lows in the low 40’s at night. Please check weather forecasts for travel planning.

Cancellations + Substitutions

All cancellations will be subject to a $25 administrative fee.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing on or before March 6, 2026. No requests for refunds will be granted after this date or for no shows.

Participants can avoid the $25 cancellation fee by transferring their registration to a colleague or peer before March 19, 2026. Requests for cancellations and substitutions must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

All refunds will be issued after the event.

Prohibition on Solicitations + Fundraising

In order to provide a distraction-free environment for our members and other attendees, EOF does not allow solicitation of any kind during our events, including asking for business, soliciting fund management services, distributing grant proposals, or requesting grant funding.

All attendees of our in-person meetings, including speakers and community partners in attendance, are provided with attendee contact directories. Contact information in these materials is for networking purposes only. No attendee should add any other individual’s contact information to your organization’s mailing list without that person’s permission.

It is permissible to follow up with contacts made at the meeting at their invitation, however, we ask that this not happen in advance of or at the meeting.

Meeting Location

The meeting will be held in The Observation Hub room on the 29th floor at Convene. The entrance of the building is between N Lynn Street and N Moore Street. Enter through the main lobby of Central Place Tower on 1201 Wilson Blvd.

Parking

Visitors can park in the 1800 N. Lynn Street garage daily between 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. To enter the main lobby from the parking garage, follow the GREY SIGNS to “OFFICE LOBBY”. Take the elevator to the lobby (L) and check in at the welcome desk.1800 N. Lynn Street, Arlington, VA 22209.

Subway

The Rosslyn Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) is a 3-4 minute walk to 1201 Wilson Blvd.

Meeting Check-In

All attendees must check in at the large security desk (right-hand side, NOT labeled “co-star”) in the lobby with your photo ID and proceed up to the 29th floor.

There will be a registration desk just outside the elevators on the 29th floor where you can pick up your name badge and meeting materials.

The dinner program will be held on March 25 from 5:30 PM – 8: 30 PM in the Syrah Room at Sixty Vines Foggy Bottom, 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC.

Subway

The Foggy Bottom Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) is a 3-4 minute walk to 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

If you are coming from Convene, the Rosslyn Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) is a 3-4 minute walk to 1201 Wilson Blvd. Take the Rossyln Metro (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines) one stop to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines).

The closest parking garage is the 2200 Pennsylvania Ave NW garage, operated by Colonial Parking (lot 769). The entrance is on the west/left side of 22nd St NW (a one-way) between I St NW and Pennsylvania Ave NW.
