Registration & Check-In

The convening will begin at 6:00pm on November 30 with our dinner program and conclude December 1 at 5:00pm.

  • Registration will open at 5:45pm on November 30 at the registration desk in the Potomac Room for the dinner program.
  • Registration will open at 8:30am on December 1 at the registration desk in the Mount Vernon Room for the meeting.

Attire

This convening is a business casual event.

Covid-19 Health + Safety

EOF will follow CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and require proof of vaccination, including one booster.

While masks are not required at the convening, they are encouraged if it helps your comfort level.

Personal space indicator stickers will be available at registration for your name badges.

  • Green: no limits
  • Yellow: no hugs – handshake ok
  • Orange: no handshakes – fist bumps or elbow greetings ok
  • Red: no physical greeting

Wi-fi

Free wi-fi will be available in the 2nd floor meeting rooms. Information on how to connect will be available at the registration desk and in the printed program.

Prohibition on Solicitations

In order to provide a distraction-free environment for our members and other attendees, EOF does not allow solicitation of any kind during our events. Additionally, EOF members expect that participation in our events will not result in future solicitations unless the member specifically invites future contact.

Meeting Location

The EOF 2022 Post-Election Briefing, Culture Wars, Political Polarization, and the 2022 Elections: Implications for Building an Economy that Works for All, will take place at The Madison Hotel, 1177 15th Street NW, Washington, DC 20005 (corner of 15th @ M Street NW).

The November 30 Dinner Program will be held in the Potomac Room, on the first floor, to the left of the lobby entrance.

The December 1 Meeting will be held in the Mount Vernon Room on the second floor. A floor plan of the second floor can be found here.

PLEASE NOTE: The Madison is in the process of rebranding as a Le Meridien hotel. Please be aware that hotel signage may have changed by the date of your arrival

Transportation

By Metro

The Madison Hotel is located at 15th & M Street NW, approximately .4 miles from the Farragut North station (Red Line) and .4 miles from McPherson Square station (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines).

By Plane

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

Local transportation to the hotel via taxi/ride share averages 15-30 minutes.

Direct Metro Service is available from the Washington National station to McPherson Square (see above) via the Blue Line.

Dulles International Airport

Local transportation to the hotel via taxi/ride share averages 45-60 minutes.

The new Metro Service to Dulles is currently expected to be available November 15th, which would allow attendees to take Metro directly from McPherson Square (see above) to Dulles via the Silver Line during your return trip only. Please check the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority website to confirm operational status.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport

Local transportation to the hotel via taxi/ride share averages 45-60 minutes.

Amtrak and MARC both provide train service from the airport to Union Station (see below) on a limited schedule.

By Train

Direct train service to Union Station is available via Amtrak, MARC, and VRE.

Direct Metro service is available from Union Station to the Farragut North station (see above) via the Red Line.

From Union Station, local transportation to the hotel via taxi/ride share averages 15-20 minutes.

By Car

Please ensure that you include NW when entering the address of the hotel to ensure that your GPS routes you to the correct quadrant in DC.
